Marcus Team Brings Home $5,000 in Endowment Funds from the YTF East Regionals Competition - Scores - Pictures - Video
The team participated in the competition on March 1st, 2014 at Rose City Flying Clays located in Tyler TX. The team participated in Trap (50 targets), Skeet (50 targets), and Sporting Clay (50 targets) events.
Marcus placed in 2nd in Trap and received $2,000 in endowment funds. The Marcus team also received $3,000 in endowment funds just for showing up.
Several members also participated in a "just for fun" Flurry Contest for individuals and two-man teams. Marcus team members Evan and Jordan placed but was a tie. The shoot-off result didn't place Jordan and Evan for prizes.
MaKenna also placed for High Lady. Way to go MaKenna!
All teams members had very favorable comments that participated at this event.
We had six team members (Connor, Evan, Jordan, Makenna, Merrick, Evan, and Mika) and their families travel to the Central Regionals. The group earned the team $3,000.00 in participation endowment funds. In visiting with team members, it was a pleasure to find out that multiple team members achieved their personal best in sporting clay and trap. Pictures - Scores - Video

To provide a youth program promoting the shooting sports and related activities with emphasis on safety, personal responsibility, exercising good judgment and marksmanship.
To provide an avenue for youth to participate in competitive shooting sports.
Team practices and competitive shoots include the element of FUN for all participants. Participants learn the safe and responsible handling and use of firearms. They discover the joy of contributing to a shared team goal and the commitment that goes along with it.
During this self-discovery process team members develop proficiency in a sport that can be shared and enjoyed with family and friends for a lifetime. It can also lead to state and national competition with collegiate and Olympic possibilities.
